I have the great pleasure of introducing the world to little miss Kelsie Grace. I had the honor of being in the room as Kelsie was born. I met her mom, Emily, through a Facebook group. We chatted a bit and decided to go ahead with the birth story. Emily was due on the 31st of July. Perfect timing for me, then she was supposed to be induced on the 25th of July..not so great timing for me as I was supposed to be at a family reunion. I was trying everything in my power to be able to come home for the day to shoot the birth and then go back to the reunion. Every time I thought I had figured out the solution there always ended up being a problem. To my extreme disappointment, I text Emily on the 23rd and told her I couldn't find an way to make it down to shoot her birth. I was so bummed..like soooooo bummed. Only to receive a text back from her a few minutes later saying 'They are inducing me at 1:00 today!' Seriously, an answer to my prayers!! When Emily went in she was dilated to a 2. When I went to bed at 12:30 that night she was only at a 4. I then got the exciting call at 3:00 AM! She went from being a 4 at 2:00 AM to an almost 10 at 3:00 AM! I rushed to Mckay Dee Hospital and an hour later miss Kelsie was born.
I was so excited when I got to go and see (and play with) Kelsie when she was a week old. She was wide awake and happy the entire time I was taking her pictures! She is uuuuh-dorable! You will definitely agree, just scroll down. (: ps. Kelsie has and older sister, Kenadi, who is just as cute. She has lots of energy and wanted popcorn and cartoons, but I did manage to sneak a few of her as well. (:
